How to Participate Online in the March 25 Special City Council Meeting

The City of Tom Bean Requests Only Online Attendance from the Public at our Next City Council Meeting

Due to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, Governor Greg Abbott issued an order allowing telephonic or online meetings in order to reduce face-to-face contact for government open meetings. Because our City Council and staff constitute almost 10 people, we ask that you not attend the meeting in person, and instead attend virtually.

The City is utilizing a free web application called “Discord” to host the city council meeting virtually. This is a simple instructional video that will help you install and join the meeting, type, and ask questions if necessary.

Please check out this video about how to use Discord – this link opens YouTube in a new browser tab

When you are ready to attend the meeting, simply click this link: – this link opens a new browser tab and allows you to join the Discord channel. You do not have to install any software.

The meeting will be available for playback if missed live.
