Department Honors Former Tom Bean Police Reserve Sergeant Larry Rittenhouse

At the December 10, 2018 City Council meeting, the City honored former Tom Bean Police Reserve Sergeant Larry Rittenhouse for ten years and eight months of dedicated service to the citizens of Tom Bean. Sgt. Rittenhouse is the longest-tenured sworn officer in the history of the department. We will miss you Larry, and wish you well in your future endeavors!

Tom Bean Police Department Awarded State Grant

Police Chief Tim Green is pleased to share this exciting news: When I was hired to be Chief of Police with this organization in 2017, I was tasked with improving the operations of the police department. After an in-depth evaluation, we were able to determine that the internal network systems being utilized for the collection and storage of police records and information was significantly outdated, and in desperate need of being upgraded.
