Important election news shared by Grayson County Election Administration source: Facebook 4/13/2020 Governor Abbott has recently issued proclamations that move election dates in the State of Texas due to COVID-19. The city and school elections have been moved from May 2, 2020 to November 3, 2020 and they will be held jointly with the general election of Federal, State and County offices. The Democratic and Republican Primary Runoff elections will move from May 26, 2020 and will now be held statewide on July 14, 2020. The Mayor called an emergency session to extend the Declaration of Disaster, to cancel the regularly Scheduled April City Council meeting, and to act upon the Secretary of State’s Election Advisory that we must take action to postpone the election until November immediately.
